Free Assistance during Federal Election 2025

With foreign interference an ever present concern in Canadian elections, Numbers Station is offering free cybersecurity assistance to Canadian political parties and journalists during the federal election. This includes free spyware detection for iOS and Android devices.

We are a 100% Canadian-owned and Ottawa-based cyber security company, and we believe protecting our democratic institutions — across party lines — is a national security imperative.

We already protect NATO governments from spyware like:

  • Pegasus (NSO Group)
  • Predator (Cytrox)
  • Graphite (Paragon)

Now we’re offering the same capabilities — for free — to staffers and candidates of the:

  • Bloc Quebecois
  • Conservative Party
  • Liberal Party
  • NDP

We always offer free support to accredited journalists, this is just a reminder!

Why This Matters

Spyware like Pegasus allow attackers to read Signal, iMessage, and WhatsApp directly from your device; activate your microphone or camera; track your location in real-time; and access sensitive campaign or journalistic data — all without you ever knowing.

But I Already Use a VPN…

That’s great—for protecting your data in transit. But when it comes to advanced spyware, it’s completely irrelevant.

The same goes for so-called “antivirus apps” on the App Store. Most are just dressed-up VPNs that remind you your passcode is on and your iOS is up to date—things you already know.

The truth is: other than our solutions, there are currently no commercially available ones that can reliably detect sophisticated spyware on iOS or Android devices. This is why governments use our products. On our Private Protection product page you can read about why other solutions do not work.

iOS Users

We can provide free subscriptions to the advanced spyware scan feature in our apps on the App Store:

  • Am I Secure?
  • Am I Secure? for Work

These securely submit iOS diagnostic data for spyware analysis — using the same detection engine used by government agencies. All data is end-to-end encrypted and processed only in Canada by Canadian citizens.

Android Users

We don’t currently have an app, but Android bug reports (OS-level logs) can be submitted for analysis — also free.

Privacy

If no spyware is detected, all data is securely deleted within 24 hours. We never share data with any third parties. No publicity will be made at all if you use our products, this is not a marketing stunt for us.

What If Something Is Found?

The victim (or their organization) retains full control over if there is any publicity and in alerting law enforcement or other parties. Numbers Station will not reveal any results to anyone else without written permission from the victim or their organization.
